The position

As an Operations Manager, you will be part of the AcVZ management team and will work

from the City of Amsterdam and the administrative offices of the network partners. Many

AcVZ.


According to their own reports, the managers of the AcVZ maintain contact with the

headquarters, management teams, departments, partnerships, and external

sources of funding. As an operations manager, you act as a strong

sparring partner and consistently strives for uniformity and comprehensiveness in the

operational processes within the AcVZ. If necessary, you will be responsible for

operational issues as the point of escalation to the city and stakeholders.


The AcVZ has various (one-time) funding sources, both from the

Municipalities in the Amstelland region as well as those under the national government. As an operations manager, you can

translate the complex financing flows into practical implementation within the

tasks of the AcVZ. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring financial

manage cash flows and monitor the financial health of the AcVZ together with the

financial advisor.


Finally, you are responsible for optimally configuring

operational processes that align with the mission and strategic objectives

of the AcVZ, and in doing so monitors quality and risks, including

compliance. As an operations manager, you ensure that our operations

professional, future-proof, sustainable, and well-organized.

What you bring

For the position of Operations Manager at the Safety and Care Action Center

In Amsterdam-Amstelland (AcVZ), you have access to:

  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree (from a university of applied sciences)

    or Wed);

  • At least 3 years of demonstrable relevant

    work experience as a manager of a diverse team

    within a political-administrative context or the quasi-governmental sector;

  • Demonstrable extensive experience with and knowledge of

    business operations, including HR issues, change management, and/or

    organizational development and finance (whether or not combined with expertise in

    experience with the municipal planning and control cycle (P&C cycle).

What we offer you

As an Operations Manager, you will join our team for 32–36 hours per week and will be able to

  • A gross monthly salary of at least €5,885 and

    up to €7,740 (scale 13, as of January 1, 2026) based on a 36-hour workweek.
