
The Board of the Foundation
The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra invites interested parties to
nominate candidates for two vacant board positions.
(Start of term: January 1, 2025)
to contribute her experience in a leadership role (or: to develop herself)
(as a director) at a leading international
nonprofit cultural organization
involved in Amsterdam's cultural life
international cultural trends
culture, the performing arts, and the orchestral repertoire in particular
unlock information that may be relevant to the orchestra where
donations, sponsorship, and other forms of (financial) support
regards.
The board is seeking members who will enhance the diversity of
its composition.
The Board of the Royal Foundation
The Concertgebouw Orchestra meets about five times a year. Board members
are also available for consultation among themselves and for consultation with the
Management and employee representative bodies.
Board positions at our Foundation
are performed on a volunteer basis for a term of four
years, which may be extended for an additional four years.
Involvement with the orchestra through
attending concerts and attending international performances or
Meetings with employees and/or stakeholders are greatly appreciated.
We strive for a balanced
composition of the board in terms of gender and age
and socio-cultural background.
An appointment as a board member of our
The foundation requires approval by the Municipal Executive
Amsterdam. Recruitment and selection are handled by
Egon Zehnder and a selection committee from the board.
