The Mulier Institute Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors (BOD). The Supervisory Board (SB) oversees the performance of the BOD and the general affairs of the foundation. In addition, the Supervisory Board serves as a sounding board for the Board of Directors regarding the foundation’s development. Membership on the Supervisory Board is for a four-year term, with the possibility of renewal for an additional four years.
We are looking for a new member for our Board of Trustees who:
We would like to add someone to our Board of Trustees who can complement the expertise of our current members. Therefore, experience in finance and an understanding of budgeting, reporting, and risk management are preferred. Preferably within nonprofit organizations.
Through rigorous, data-driven sports research, the Mulier Institute Foundation contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of sports policy. And (as a result) to the promotion of sports, physical activity, and the strengthening of the sports sector. Our“Strategic Vision 2025–2030 ” guides our work.
We conduct research on behalf of government agencies, sports organizations, and other clients. In addition, we secure grants for in-depth research. We also receive an institutional grant from the Directorate for Sport and Physical Activity of the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport to monitor developments in sports and conduct research to support policy-making.

The Board of Trustees generally meets three times a year at our office in Utrecht. Serving on the Board of Trustees is an unpaid position. Of course, your travel expenses will be reimbursed.
