This is a great opportunity to use your interest in and/or experience with healthcare and patient care to help make important decisions. Join our Client Council and make a difference in healthcare!

As a member of the Patient Advisory Board at St. Antonius Hospital and the Cooperative Medical Specialist Organization (CMSB), you will make a valuable contribution to the quality of care. You will represent the perspectives of patients and their loved ones. This is a meaningful role for someone with an affinity for healthcare who is eager to delve into strategic and social healthcare issues. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of people from diverse backgrounds. We currently have an opening for a new member who is passionate about healthcare and social engagement.

What will you be doing?

As a member of our dynamic Client Council, you will be part of a team that addresses compelling healthcare and social issues. You will have the opportunity to influence healthcare and improve the position of patients. Your talents and expertise are essential to shaping this initiative strategically and operationally. In addition to advising on and approving decisions made by the hospital and the Cooperative Medical Specialist Company (CMSB), you may be involved in various consultative bodies within the organization. You will be assigned your own portfolios and given the opportunity to further develop these areas.

The Client Council meets ten times a year and also convenes ten times a year for internal discussions.

Your future workplace

The Client Council is an independent advisory body dedicated to the well-being of patients, their loved ones, and the broader community in our region. We operate on behalf of both the hospital and the CMSB, in accordance with the2018 Act on Client Participation in Healthcare Institutions. We provide both solicited and unsolicited advice and vote on various policy matters. The Client Council strives to be a strategic partner for both the Board of Directors and the CMSB’s executive board.

Here's what we offer you

The time commitment for this volunteer position may vary by member, but is at least4 to 6 hoursper week, depending on participation in consultative bodies and meetings within the organization as a representative of the Client Council.

This position is a volunteer role and offers financial compensation appropriate for volunteer work. If desired, you may take a relevant course or training program that will benefit your development as a member of the Client Council.

Your talents

For this role, we are looking for someone with a clear vision and an interest in future developments in the healthcare sector. You think from the patient’s perspective and are able to reflect broadly on the organization and its policies. Proactive, analytical, and critical, you communicate your vision in a clear and engaging manner. You are flexible in navigating between different levels and disciplines within a large organization. Preferably, you have a background in finance and economics and experience as a caregiver, or you have been (or are currently) a patient at our hospital.

We believe it is important that our Client Council reflects the diverse group of people who receive our care. We expressly invite people from diverse cultural backgrounds, of all ages, and with varied experiences to respond.
