
As a comprehensive supervisor with a keen eye for housing, you will help Stichting BOOR shape strong, safe, and forward-looking education throughout Rotterdam.
The BOOR Foundation provides public education (elementary, secondary, and special education) in Rotterdam. BOOR’s 119 school locations and more than 4,100 employees prepare over 30,000 students for a rapidly changing society. As a member of the General Board, you will oversee BOOR’s strategy, educational quality, governance, and social mission. You will advise the Executive Board, serve as a sounding board, and contribute to a strong and diverse leadership team. In this role, you will also serve on the Audit Committee.
You have extensive knowledge of and experience withreal estate andhousing withina social context. Sustainability is a natural priority for you: you recognize how important it is for students and staff to be able to learn and work in accessible, attractive, and future-proof buildings, with a focus on a healthy indoor and outdoor environment and responsible energy use. You therefore have a forward-looking vision of the role of facilities in educational practice, as well as the importance of safety and an inclusive society in this context. It is a significant advantage if you combine this expertise with additional knowledge, for example in the areas of cybersecurity, IT, or the municipal context.
In addition, you bring administrative experience to the table, along with a strong sense of good governance and an understanding of political and administrative dynamics. You possess sharp analytical skills that enable you to critically analyze issues.
You can set aside the necessary time to fulfill your supervisory responsibilities, including attending meetings, work visits, and other relevant gatherings.
