We focus on everything that matters to residents. Our goal is to make a significant contribution to creating livable and socially cohesive neighborhoods in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We do this in collaboration with a dedicated board, approximately 60 volunteers, 35 staff members, and hundreds of active residents. Together with all these active residents and professional partners, we are constantly building social networks.
This is what your work looks like
You ensure that your nine staff members in the relevant neighborhoods and at the two community centers can perform their work efficiently and effectively and find fulfillment in their jobs. You inspire your team to continue growing in their work and give them the space and freedom to carry this out in line with our mission. You maintain numerous contacts with external professionals and volunteer organizations to foster collaboration and coordination. You actively promote the mission of our organization and are proactive in securing (grant-funded) projects.

Your knowledge and insight
- Thinks and works at a minimum of a college level
- Experience in a people-oriented, inspiring, and motivating leadership style
- Knowledge of and insight into community development and trends in the field
- Belief in the essence of and vision for community development
- A Perspective on the Importance of Hospitality
- Is a good communicator and can express themselves clearly both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in using the most common software in Office 365
