At Rotterdam Festivals, we want everyone—young, old, rich, poor, residents of Rotterdam, non-residents, highly educated or less educated, and whether you live in the Netherlands or abroad—to enjoy the festivals and the city’s art and culture.
Rotterdam Festivals supports and promotes festivals and cultural events that reflect the city’s DNA: raw, international, and entrepreneurial. Together with creative festival organizers and cultural leaders, we ensure that Rotterdam remains an exciting metropolis where there’s always something special to experience.
We are at the heart of the cultural scene, know what’s going on, and are the first to spot trends. Drawing on that expertise, we advise Rotterdam’s policymakers on how to use public spaces for cultural purposes. We also conduct research on our festival audience, their expectations, and their needs, from which we gain valuable insights.
