Kunstmin is a very welcoming, dynamic theater with a dynamic and enthusiastic team that produces its own programs in collaboration with artists and cultural and social partners. Each year, we organize approximately 300 performances, concerts, and socio-cultural and commercial events. 

With the Kunstmin Theater and the Energiehuis, the Kunstmin Foundation is home to one of the most beautiful theater venues in the Netherlands and serves as the premier stage for the Drechtsteden region. We are the cultural heart of the Drechtsteden, the place where residents and artists come together in person, and we strive to be diverse, original, and groundbreaking. We offer relaxation, entertainment, and intellectual enrichment. We connect with our audience. We are constantly attuned to what is happening around us. This is how our program is developed in dialogue with the city.

The Supervisory Board exercises comprehensive oversight of financial management and the quality of services and actively fulfills its role as employer with respect to the director. A warm, close-knit, and professional approach characterized by integrity is characteristic of Kunstmin’s Supervisory Board. We are seeking an enthusiastic and socially engaged individual who wishes to contribute to further defining the importance of Kunstmin’s existence for the community of the Drechtsteden. 

Given the current composition of the Board of Trustees, there is room for new members with a background inentrepreneurship,the business sector,orthe social sector.  

As a member of the Board of Trustees, you will dedicate your time and energy to Kunstmin, make your relevant professional network available, and critically, actively, and constructively assess whether the management is making careful and balanced decisions in carrying out its duties to achieve the organization’s objectives. In addition, you will support the director with advice and guidance, maintaining the right balance between involvement and administrative distance. The Kunstmin Foundation adheres to the Cultural Governance Code. 

The Board of Trustees strives for diversity in the broadest sense, including in terms of gender, age, cultural background, and specific expertise. 

What can you expect from us?

An opportunity to use your knowledge and expertise to contribute, alongside knowledgeable and enthusiastic Supervisory Board members, and to collaborate with the management team in shaping the direction of Kunstmin. Members of the Supervisory Board are appointed for a four-year term. This term may be extended twice, for a maximum of two additional four-year terms. The position is available upon consultation. The Board of Trustees generally meets five times a year. Members of the Board of Trustees receive an expense allowance for the performance of their duties.
