Members of the Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board of Doornroosje oversees the managing director and the general course of business within the Doornroosje Foundation. The Supervisory Board advises the managing director and monitors the organization’s financial health. In addition, the Supervisory Board acts as the employer for the Executive Director and holds formal meetings with the Executive Board, the Management Team, and the Works Council at least once a year. The Supervisory Board adheres to the Governance Code for the Cultural Sector.
The Supervisory Board’s oversight is tailored to necessity and need. There are eight meetings per year, which are held at Doornroosje. These meetings also include:
- thematic sessions;
- annual meetings with the auditor, the Works Council, and the Management Team;
- an annual self-assessment.
A member of the Supervisory Board is appointed for a term of four years and may be reappointed once. The Supervisory Board consists of five members, whose areas of expertise include finance, human resources and organizational management, law, and the pop and dance music industry.
Due to the expiration of the term of office, we are seeking members with a legal background, knowledge of the cultural sector, financial expertise, and/or potential interest in serving as chair.
We are looking for someone who has:
- love of music;
- experience in or interest in the cultural sector;
- experience in entrepreneurship and/or leadership;
- a fresh perspective;
- interest in the organization and its employees;
- organizational sensitivity.
And besides:
- you think in a solution-oriented way;
- are you open to the opinions and ideas of others;
- You are decisive and have integrity;
- and you live in (or near) Nijmegen.
Members of the Supervisory Board do not receive any financial compensation. As a token of our appreciation, you will receive a membership to the Roosje Music Club. In addition, you will be part of an informal, dynamic corporate culture where people work hard toward a common goal: “We Do Music”.
