Social Impact Fund Amsterdam (SIF Amsterdam) is a new investment fund that targets high-impact businesses in the capital, with a strong focus on the Nieuw-West, Noord, and Zuidoost districts. We are seeking an Investment Director to join us on September 1 who will serve as the face of this new fund, lead the Amsterdam investment team, support impact entrepreneurs in their continued growth and financing, and act as a sounding board within the local impact coalition.

SIF Amsterdam is a place-based impact investment fund currently being established that aims to achieve sustainable improvements in addressing major social challenges in the city through investments in social entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on the Nieuw-West, Noord, and Zuidoost districts.

The fund is currently in the preparatory phase and is part of the organization that already serves as the fund manager for SIF Rotterdam and SIF The Hague. This organization’s extensive experience and existing infrastructure provide a solid foundation for SIF Amsterdam and the local investment team. In addition, local communities of impact entrepreneurs and the municipality are also involved in the fund’s establishment. The target fund size is €10–€15 million.

We are seeking an Investment Director, effective September 1, who will be responsible for leading the team in Amsterdam and overseeing all aspects of the investment cycle, including the referral program specifically designed for the Nieuw-West, Noord, and Zuidoost districts to assist businesses with their funding applications.
