HR Manager

The course at a glance 

• You are responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR policies. 
• You will supervise the HR advisor, and together you will ensure excellent HR administration and a sustainable HR policy, while prioritizing the well-being and professional development of your colleagues. 
• You serve as a sounding board for the management team (both when asked and on your own initiative), and you also provide the necessary management information. 
• You are responsible for all processes related to recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee absenteeism. 
• We value and strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment. As HR Manager, you will contribute to this through policies and ensuring compliance with them, among other things

• A workspace in the historic H’ART Museum building on the Amstel, with a view of the Magere Brug, and in De Nieuwe Kerk on Dam Square 
• A competitive salary, depending on experience, up to €5,100 on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). 
• A one-year contract, but we would appreciate an extension after that. 

What do we look for? 

We are looking for someone with energy, infectious enthusiasm, and a sense of humor. You also have a proactive and hands-on approach, tackling tasks with determination and a focus on results without losing sight of the necessary attention to detail. In addition, you have: 

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position and up-to-date professional knowledge at the associate’s or bachelor’s degree level.  
• Vision for HR and experience in translating that vision into practical HR tools 
• You have a good command of the Dutch language and strong communication skills 

We are 

The De Nieuwe Kerk and H’ART Museum Staff Foundation is a creative, growing organization that produces exhibitions at both De Nieuwe Kerk and H’ART Museum. Together, the museums host an average of five exhibitions per year, in collaboration with national and international museums. The organization strives to provide a broad audience with access to culture and therefore values a diverse and inclusive work environment. The organization consists of a core team of about 50 colleagues. In addition, we work with a large group of on-call staff, independent contractors, and volunteers.
