Head of the Tilburg Regional Archives – Archives, Heritage, and Innovation

We are looking for someone to contribute to our archive of the future. Someone who will play an active role in this endeavor and engage in collaborations within the local and international archival and heritage community. Knowledge of business operations and finance is essential for this position; knowledge of archives is, of course, a plus, but even more important is knowledge of, experience in, or an affinity for the cultural-historical field.

The Tilburg Regional Archives is a leader in digital operations, including sustainable digital archiving. As a center of expertise, we support the twelve municipalities affiliated with us. We manage and develop an e-repository, assist municipalities in connecting to it, and are strongly committed to ensuring broad accessibility.

The Tilburg Regional Archives also plays an important role in society. We manage, catalog, and make available the information entrusted to us by municipalities and private individuals. We encourage the use of our collections to help people find answers to a wide range of questions. In this way, the archives serve as the memory of the local community and are an integral part of the fabric of society. 

As Director, you will serve as an integrated manager. In addition, you will be a member of the Management Team of the Mommerskwartier Foundation, which comprises the Textile Museum, the Tilburg City Museum, and the Tilburg Regional Archives.

What do we offer?

Work in a historic building in downtown Tilburg. Your salary is based on scale 13 of the Municipal Collective Labor Agreement (CAO), and we also follow the Museum Collective Labor Agreement. In addition to vacation pay, you will receive a 3.4% year-end bonus and 194.4 vacation hours (based on a 36-hour workweek). If you have to travel more than 12 kilometers one way to your work location, you are eligible for a travel allowance. Your pension will be administered by the ABP.
