More about this organization
A smiling woman with curly hair is holding a phone in a modern office with plants in the background.

Would you like to invest 40 million euros in culture and nature in 2024 with your team of 23 people? Do you have a vision for investment programs, and can you inspire and engage others in that vision? Will you ensure that the impact of culture reaches everyone in the Netherlands, with a focus on diversity and accessibility? Then we’re looking for you!

What will you be doing?

You are the head of the Programs and Impact department at the Cultuurfonds and lead a team of subject matter experts who are currently undergoing a transformation process. We want to be more accessible and are therefore simplifying the application process. We aim to make it easier to award grants while maintaining the same high quality, based on the principle of trust-based philanthropy. In addition, we are increasingly focusing on a data-driven approach and measuring the impact of our work. We operate across seven areas of focus and collaborate with our provincial Cultural Funds. You will guide these processes, ensure short-term results, and anticipate future needs. You have a vision and strategy for the Culture Fund’s investment program that you will implement, develop, and promote, both internally and externally. As a coaching leader, you empower people based on their strengths. You are a connector who constantly seeks contact with cultural and nature organizations to increase the impact of our investments as partners.

You’ll also be part of a six-member management team. Together, we steer the organization’s direction, with collaboration, ambition, and enjoyment as key pillars. We work together to develop short- and long-term plans, keep each other on our toes, and think beyond the boundaries of individual teams and departments.

What do you bring to the table?

· You have a college or university level of education and several years of experience in a

similar (management) position/role

· You have a vision and experience with (relevant) investment programs

· You are a strategic leader with a proven track record ofgetting things done

· You are a networker with experience in the cultural or natural sciences sector who has a proven track record of reaching new target audiences

· You speak Dutch and English

What do we offer?

· A one-year contract for 32–40 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanentposition

· A salary between €5,475 and €7,994 gross per month ona full-timebasis (40 hours per week), depending on your work experience

· Attractive employee benefits, such as the flexiblespending account (14.42%)—which you can choose to have paid out or use to purchase additional vacation days—a budget for your personal development and setting up your home office, a contribution toward health insurance, full reimbursement of travel expenses, a laptop, and a phone

· A modern and welcoming workplace in a beautiful location inAmsterdam-West, featuring flexible workspaces so you can get to know your colleagues quickly. We operate on a hybrid model, which means we work partly in the office and partly from home

· An organization with very happy and satisfied employees. Our employees give Het Cultuurfonds a rating of 8.4 as an employer and an 8.1 for job satisfaction

We believe in the power of an inclusive culture and think it’s important for everyone to be themselves. It makes no difference to us where you were born, what you believe in, or whom you love; what matters is what you bring to our organization. Given the composition of the MT, which consists mainly of men, we give preference to candidates who will make our MT more diverse.

Are you excited?

Then we’re really curious to find out who you are. Introduce yourself to us and show us why you’re a great candidate for this position. Do this in a way that suits you. You can send a cover letter and resume, or you can send a video or something else creative. Please send your application to sollicitaties@cultuurfonds.nl
