Can you combine vision, creativity, and project management skills to create a compelling presentation? Do you lead the project team in an inspiring and clear manner? Do you have a knack for both design and finance? Are you good at working with strong-willed people who want the very best for our visitors? Can you stick to a tight schedule while still thinking outside the box?
The Terracotta Army, treasures from Iran, paintings from America, Italy, and Mexico, as well as the art and history of our own collection, including world-famous bog bodies such as the Girl from Yde and paintings by Vincent van Gogh. Of course, we also highlight the history of Drenthe with local icons and stories, such as those of singer Harry “Cuby” Muskee (“Window of My Eyes”), the celebrated TT racer Egbert Streuer, and soon the history of the Moluccans in Drenthe. We recently opened our spectacular Bar Brasserie Pingo, already hailed by many as the most beautiful museum café in the Netherlands. The museum has big ambitions. We are currently working on a spectacular new collection presentation. It will be a true experience: a stimulating, multi-sensory, theatrical experience with a touch of magic. History, archaeology, and art will be combined into one grand, cohesive narrative about humanity. In the coming years, the new collection presentation will play a major role, and we will therefore place people (both creators and the public) at the center. We aim to welcome a wide variety of visitors and provide them with a wonderful experience. And you can contribute to that experience!

We expect you to switch quickly between abstract and practical matters. You move and speak with ease at all levels. You are skilled at the art of negotiation. Your education and experience align with the duties described.

An inspiring work environment at an ambitious museum. A role that gives you room to be creative, with enthusiastic colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge with you and learn from you.
