
The Rijksmuseum is the Netherlands’ premier museum of art and history, with a rich collection of over a million objects that tell the story of our country, from the Middle Ages through the 20th century. As Head of IT at the Rijksmuseum, you will develop a future-proof IT strategy that aligns with the museum’s digital ambitions. You will lead a team of dedicated IT professionals (23 FTE) and ensure that the IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable. In doing so, you will pay particular attention to cybersecurity, privacy, data integrity, and public value to ensure that the technological foundation is solid and sustainable. You will establish a cohesive, centralized IT structure that promotes collaboration across different departments.
With your strategic insight, you will be able to shape the museum’s digital transformation and guide the organization through this process. You will play a key role in promoting and implementing innovative digital solutions that enhance the visitor experience and optimize internal processes. By working closely with various departments and external partners, you will create synergy and build support for digital initiatives. You will chair the digital committee and serve as the director of digital projects within the museum, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective coordination.
