The TextielMuseum is a dynamic and creative museum. It is the only place in the world where design, art, fashion, heritage, and innovation in the field of textiles come together. The combination of inspiring exhibitions, educational programs, and the specialized TextielLab for research and production makes the museum one of a kind. In the TextielLab, national and international designers, artists, and promising students collaborate with our textile experts to explore the endless possibilities of textiles.
The museum is in the midst of a major transformation. We have launched an ambitious renovation program in collaboration with Mecanoo architects and the City of Tilburg, which will be rolled out in phases over the coming years. In the future museum, our passion for textiles will take center stage. We want to create a place where all the senses are stimulated. Our vision for the future calls for a redesign of the museum with new (semi-permanent) exhibitions, improved visitor flow, and an expansion of public and educational facilities to reach new target groups. A completely new museum and state-of-the-art workshop will be created, prepared for the future and ready to welcome more visitors. As part of our ambitious renewal program, we are looking for a forward-thinking Head of Development to join our team.
Our mission: We want to spark a love for textiles in everyone by allowing them to experience its relevance in all phases of life—with your hands, your mind, and your heart.
