As head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning, you will bring together faculty and researchers within the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) to foster innovation in arts education and research and create synergy. You are a unifying leader who speaks the language of both artistic practice and education and moves seamlessly between vision and practice. You:

- Drives change in complex organizations thanks to experience in leadership, budget management, and accountability procedures.
- Promotes co-creation, community building, and a learning- and research-oriented practice within the academies.
- Sees digitization as a means to achieve accessible, creative, and inclusive education, not as an end in itself.
- Cherishes diversity in perspectives, traditions, and teaching practices, and values both craftsmanship and imagination in art education.
- Communicates openly, empathetically, and in an inviting manner; is able to engage people in the change process; and builds lasting networks both within and outside the AHK.
