KCR works to provide relevant cultural education so that students can discover their creative talents and learn skills that will enable them to navigate a dynamic, superdiverse city like Rotterdam. KCR aims to familiarize as many children and youth in Rotterdam as possible with art and culture. Our role is to connect education and culture in the city.
We do this by helping schools develop sustainable cultural education, launching programs such as KunstPakt, implementing the Cultuurtraject, and through our knowledge and expertise program, which consists of pilot projects, learning networks, training sessions, and meetings. KCR operates based on an inclusive and diverse vision, in which equal opportunity for everyone is inextricably linked to our work.
As of mid-2022, KCR will effectively consist of a consulting and client relationsdepartment anda knowledge center, with roles and responsibilities that reinforce one another. We are looking for a head of the consulting and client relations department. In addition to this department, the knowledge center provides support and fosters connections, both internally and externally.
It encompasses the functions of knowledge sharing, expertise development, monitoring, networking, and communication. In addition to these departments, KCR has the support function of the administrative office.
The Advisory and Relationship Department.
This
department encompasses all core tasks directly focused on
relationship management, engagement,and supportingdevelopments in
Rotterdam’s education system. As Head of Consulting and Relationship Management, you will lead a
dynamic team of approximately 11 consultants, project leaders, and staff members.
The department has recently evolved into an integrated and flexible team, with the former departments for separate types of education having been merged. Together with the consultants for elementary, secondary, special education (for girls), and vocational education, we are working toward an approach that serves the entire education and cultural sector. In delivering our services, we collaborate in various project teams.
What are
we looking for?
A
true people manager and expert team player who can lead the passionate professionals at
KCR in an inspiring,
integrated, and unifying way. You will create the conditions for optimal execution of the department’s
core activities. You will translate the organization’s strategic policy to the
operational level, and as a member of the executive team, you will share responsibility
for the development and implementation of the integrated policy.

What do
we offer?
An independent position for 32 hours
per week as part of a team within a dynamic organization, starting September 1
.
You will start with a one-year employment contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Arts Education Collective Bargaining Agreement. The salary depends on age and experience, within pay scale 11, with a maximum of €4,746 for a full 36-hour workweek.
