Finance & Control Manager

To further strengthen our growth and social impact, we are looking for a Finance & Control Manager who can use their knowledge, precision, and dedication to further professionalize our financial processes and business operations.

Your role and responsibilities

You will become part of a team of 26 dedicated professionals. As Finance & Control Manager, you will be part of the Organization & Finance team, alongside the Executive Secretary/Operations Manager, a Contract Manager, and a Project Lead for Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) & AI. You will work closely with colleagues in the program teams and report to the Executive Secretary/Operations Manager.

You will play both an advisory and an operational role in the financial field. You will ensure that our financial records are up-to-date and reliable, assess the feasibility of project budgets, monitor compliance, and contribute to a sound, transparent, and future-proof financial organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and managing the annual budget, forecasts, and reports for the Management Team, the Executive Board, and the Supervisory Board;
• Provide advice on financial planning, risks, opportunities, and process improvements;
• Analyzing and improving financial workflows and reporting structures;
• Reviewing budgets and financial documents from (potential) project partners;
• Monitoring the financial progress of ongoing projects;
• Coordinating the preparation of the financial statements and liaising with our external accounting firm and the auditor;
• Contribute to governance, compliance, and risk initiatives within the foundation.

In short: you ensure that the numbers add up, the processes run smoothly, and the board can make well-informed decisions.

Who are you?

You are a financially savvy professional with strong analytical skills and a broad perspective on social impact. You move easily between strategy and operations, and enjoy helping to build a professional organization that is constantly evolving.

We are looking for someone with:

• A completed relevant degree;
• Experience in financial management, control, or auditing;
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., ANBI) and internal controls;
• Experience with financial administration, budgeting processes, and reporting;
• Analytical skills, organizational awareness, and an eye for quality;
• A proactive attitude and a passion for collaborating within a small, dedicated team.

The Goldschmeding Foundation offers a competitive salary and an attractive benefits package. We initially offer a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension to a permanent position. The salary for the Finance and Control Manager ranges from €5,031 to €6,749 (gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek, depending on experience). You will receive a laptop and a phone allowance. In addition, we offer a competitive pension plan, a 12% Individual Choice Budget (including vacation pay), we encourage the principle of Lifelong Learning with a study budget, and you can travel easily with your NS Business Card.
