  • A one-year contract (32–36 hours per week) with the possibility of a permanent position; 
  • Salary in accordance with the VVT Collective Bargaining Agreement: minimum €3,504 to maximum €5,733 based on a 36-hour workweek; 
  • An end-of-year bonus equal to 8.33% of gross annual income and an annual vacation allowance of 8%; 
  • Pension accrual through the Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn pension fund, a group discount on your health insurance, and travel expense reimbursement in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement; 
  • Personal development through targeted training, courses, and education via Good Habitz, among others;

What will you be doing?

As an experienced team manager, you will be responsible for overseeing two departments (NAH and PG) and will also have broader responsibilities within the organization. The location is currently transitioning into an NAH knowledge center, a process in which you will play a key role alongside the domain manager. You will ensure that employees transition smoothly to the new departments and contribute to a positive work environment. 

As a team manager, you play an active roleinoptimizing the work environment and culture, including byreducingabsenteeism due to illness. With your focus, thoughtful approach, and decisiveness, you are able to improve job satisfaction and the quality of care. You won’t be doing this alone: there is an organization-wide commitment to making this location stronger again. Time, expertise, manpower, and budget are being allocated to achieve this. Currently, there is a need for an experienced team manager who takes responsibility, inspires and motivates the team, and is willing to address colleagues when necessary.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading healthcare teams and overseeing operations and the quality of care; 
  • Inspiring teams, both in terms of content and by fostering a positive work environment: you motivate employees by involving them in important decisions; 
  • A focus on clients and their loved ones: you involve volunteers, informal caregivers, and family members in the clients’ lives; 
  • Make specific proposals to improve the quality of care based on findings from the front lines; 
  • You are a visible, experienced leader; you are frequently on the shop floor every day. 
  • You report monthly to the domain manager on (the figures related to) recruitment, employee satisfaction, turnover, finances, quality, etc.
  • A bicycle plan and bicycle repair reimbursement. 

Requirements

Who are you?

We are looking for a dynamic, positive, and decisive experienced team manager who thrives on challenges. You draw energy from improving processes and managing change, and you ensure that employees, residents, and their families feel heard and supported. 

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  •  Additional management training is a plus;

  • You have excellent coaching skills.

  • An interest in stroke care;

  • You have at least 3 years of managerial experience in the healthcare sector;

  • You have a relevant associate's degree, preferably in healthcare;

Where will you be working?

Ottho Heldringstraatisa residential facility for seniors and clients with acquired brain injury (ABI) located in a mixed-use neighborhood in Nieuw West. It is housed in a modern, newly constructed building and accommodates over 70 residents with acquired brain injury (ABI) or psychiatric/somatic care needs. Eventually, the focus will shift entirely to ACIs. Residents have spacious private rooms, and there are shared living rooms for every six residents. Both the mix of residents and the staff are multicultural and reflect the diversity of Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
