Online Marketer

What will you be doing?

• You develop customer journeys with the goal of reaching, engaging, activating, and upgrading as many change agents as possible.
• You will contribute strategic input on how to leverage online channels for our campaigns and activities.
• You will coordinate Milieudefensie’s email channel: you will ensure a tight schedule and advise stakeholders on how to use the email channel for campaigns, fundraising, and events.
• You will be responsible for final editing of emails and will also regularly draft promotional email content for newsletters, automated emails, promotional emails, and donation requests.
• You build, maintain, and optimize email automations.
• Together with the CRM marketer, you will oversee the implementation of a new email marketing system.
• You will help develop, implement, and optimize online fundraising campaigns with the goal of generating leads and increasing online donations.
• You will define KPIs, analyze and report on online campaign results, and provide data-driven recommendations.
• You have a bird's-eye view of what's happening within the organization and identify connections; you coordinate and maintain relationships with other teams.

What are you bringing?

• You have at least 5 years of work experience as an online marketer and specialize in email marketing. Knowledge of Procurios, Act On, or HubSpot is a plus.
• You work with precision, are results-oriented, and data-driven. You have strong analytical skills and are creative.
• You are able to make complex selections for segmentation purposes.
• You have experience in strategic consulting.
• You have experience managing processes and/or projects. Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
• You have a knack for and experience with online public communication and campaigning. Experience with online fundraising is a plus.
• You write with a focus on conversion, but you also keep the recipient’s interests and needs in mind.
• You have a good command of the Dutch language.

Who do you work with?

You will be part of the online team, which consists of 5 online marketers and 2 webmasters. You will also collaborate with the data team, communications specialists, fundraisers, and colleagues from the Movement Building department. You will report to the communications coordinator.

• A one-year contract with the option to extend.
• A salary ranging from €3,470 to €5,338 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
