Duty Manager

34 hours per week on a rotating schedule. This amounts to 4 days a week, including one weekend day. The start date will be determined by mutual agreement.

What you will be doing

Variety is therefore the norm for you and your fellow duty managers. Of course, there are certain regular elements in your daily routine. What are they?
The following:

  • Together with your colleagues, you will manage the front-of-house staff at De Nieuwe Kerk | H’ART Museum.
  • You ensure that visitors receive the best possible welcome. You ensure that all front-of-house staff are hospitable and visitor-focused, and you set an example in this regard.
  • You will serve as the point of contact both on the floor and for external visitors, and you will be the face of De Nieuwe Kerk | H’ART Museum.
  • You enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills, you solve problems right away, and you step in to help when needed.
  • You will create and monitor the operational schedule. In addition, you will incorporate input from all departments regarding daily activities and events at both locations into the schedules.
  • You ensure that the scripts are followed correctly and you create a balanced distribution of tasks for the front-of-house staff.
  • In consultation with the Public Affairs Manager, you will develop protocols and procedures regarding public reception and safety.

  • you hold a first-aid certification or are willing to obtain one.

About Us

The De Nieuwe Kerk and H’ART Museum Staff Foundation is a creative and growing organization that produces exhibitions at both the Nieuwe Kerk and H’ART Museum. We currently have a total of 49 colleagues, and the Public Affairs team consists of seven members. Together, the two venues host an average of five exhibitions per year, in collaboration with national and international partners.
