Are you an experienced community and communications professional with a passion for Amsterdam’s green and sustainable future? Do you want to work toward a healthier Amsterdam alongside a team of dedicated people? Can you reach and engage a growing community of Amsterdammers to help us increase our sustainable impact on the city? If so, we’re looking for you!
About The Healthy City
De Gezonde Stad is an independent organization of sustainability advocates that has been making Amsterdam more sustainable and healthy for over ten years. We do this by launching and implementing initiatives in collaboration with a community of Amsterdammers. We take a holistic, neighborhood-focused approach based on the themes of Green City, Food for the City, and Engaged City. Our projects are innovative, hands-on, positive, and bottom-up. We encourage and empower residents and businesses to take the initiative on concrete projects themselves, such as planting trees, visiting local food initiatives, or upcycling old clothing.
Your role

In this role, you will develop the strategy regarding community and communication objectives. Your role is highly organizational in nature and requires a big-picture perspective. You are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and proactively planning ahead in terms of budget, (hourly) capacity, and the deployment of the right people.
In this role, you will work alongside the board member specializing in Community and Communication. Together with the director and project lead, you will serve as a key representative to our external network and, based on your expertise, act as the point of contact for key stakeholders.
