The Video Division is responsible for coordinating the programming of the public television networks NPO 1, 2, 3, Zapp/Zappelin, the additional channels, the VOD platforms NPO Start and NPO Plus, and all of NPO’s online services, including websites and apps. The Video Division budgets for programming and manages and monitors the annual media budget allocated for this purpose. Pursuant to the Media Act, the NPO ensures the efficient use of funds earmarked for the production and distribution of media content.
As a production manager, you are jointly responsible for budgeting programming, managing the media budget, and ensuring its effective allocation. For the content team you support, you analyze the submitted program budgets. In doing so, you translate content requirements into human and financial resources. Where necessary, you conduct benchmarks and consult with public broadcasters. Finally, you serve as a liaison between the Video Department and the Finance Department.
As an agency producer, you have an affinity for the media and are willing to familiarize yourself with the complex financial flows and relationships within the industry. You work independently while also maintaining close contact with colleagues within the organization and at public broadcasters. You communicate effortlessly at all levels.
You thrive on analyzing data, identifying patterns, and approaching problems from multiple angles. You know how to tackle challenges creatively, diplomatically, and with a sense of humor. Agency producers who are strong communicators, build relationships easily, take initiative, and are confident and self-assured are a great fit for the team.
The skills of communication, problem-solving, organization and prioritization, and initiative are well developed.
The position of office producer is available for a minimum of 32 hours per week. The salary ranges from €3,651 to €5,742 gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek. We determine the salary based on education, experience, and equal pay (m/f/x). This is a permanent position, starting with a one-year contract. Rules are in place for colleagues who advance internally to a different position or pay grade. We’d be happy to tell you more about that.

The NPO has a public mission: to serve the interests of every individual and society as a whole. The needs of our audience—with all its diverse backgrounds and perspectives—are our guiding principle. We want this to be reflected in our organization’s workforce. We believe in an inclusive organization that harnesses the power of diversity to achieve even better results. Because it is precisely because we differ from one another that we can arrive at new insights and better solutions. We therefore welcome candidates who, through their background and experience, wish to contribute to this. When candidates are equally qualified, preference will be given to the candidate who strengthens diversity within the NPO in this way.
