Board member of Imagine IC with expertise in operations, HR, and legal affairs.
The organization Imagine IC is committed to a society in which everyone participates as equals. To a city where every voice counts. To make this a reality, we are committed to heritage democracy.
Because heritage tells the story of who we are as a community and who we want to become, everyone has a say in it. Imagine IC is therefore an open forum for discussion about the composition of Amsterdam’s collection.
Together with a wide range of people, we give meaning to the things that matter. We are innovating the way we talk about these issues. We share our expertise with partners in the heritage sector and develop democratic heritage methodologies.
The Imagine IC Board operates under a governance model consisting of a board and a director and adheres to the Cultural Governance Code. The board operates on the basis of collective responsibility. The working relationship between the board and the director is transparent and constructive. The board provides both solicited and unsolicited advice, thereby serving as a sounding board and sparring partner for the director. The board consists of six members, and there is a vacancy for a candidate with a background in operations, HR, and legal affairs.
The board meets at least five times a year. The meetings are held at the Imagine IC office in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Board members are involved in preparing, implementing, and monitoring the execution of the general policy, translating it into actions and projects, and producing the annual report on financial and substantive matters. All board members serve on a volunteer basis. In forming the board, we strive for diversity in various respects.
