You hold at least a bachelor’s degree, for example in law or public administration, have several years of work experience in a relevant position in education, and have an affinity for the arts.
You will provide advice on issues related to education laws and regulations, on behalf of our academies and the Executive Board. This includes matters such as the education and examination regulations, binding study advice, advising examination boards, and drafting responses to the COBEX. Another responsibility is advising on and supporting the academies’ midterm reviews and accreditation processes. You will contribute to the preparations for the AHK’s institutional review and also to various activities within the Education Department, such as representing the AHK in national networks, supporting platforms and project groups, and organizing meetings. You will work as part of a team within the Education Department and maintain close contact with the other departments of the Service Bureau and the Executive Office.

Within the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK), support services—including the Education and Research Center—are centralized within the Service Bureau. The Education Department advises the Executive Board and the academies on university-wide (strategic) educational policy, facilitates university-wide knowledge sharing and exchange, and provides practical support.

This is a one-year appointment with the prospect of permanent employment. The salary is up to €5,936.77 gross per month for full-time employment (generic position: Staff Advisor C, scale 11). Appointment and compensation are in accordance with the collective labor agreement for higher professional education (CAO-HBO); the pay grade depends in part on education and work experience. There is a good package of fringe benefits, such as a year-end bonus and a generous vacation policy.
