Head of Operations
As Head of Operations, you are responsible for the optimal allocation and management of financial, human resources, and material matters. You are responsible for financial management and the planning & control cycle, ensuring long-term impact through strategic organizational and financial/economic decisions. You ensure a smooth and efficient operation where employees perform at their best. You directly supervise the financial administrator and the technical and operations staff, doing so in a coaching and collaborative manner. In addition, you are responsible for data management, contract management, and relationship management.
You will play a key role in the strategic organizational development that Trias is currently undergoing, help shape the long-term strategy, and be part of the management team. You will lead an organizational unit with a wide variety of products and services and share ultimate responsibility for the organization’s continued development and innovation. You will do this in collaboration with the Head of Leisure & Cultural Participation, the Head of Cultural Education, and the Executive Director.
About Us
Trias is a vibrant and innovative arts center that actively engages with the community. It does this by offering group classes, workshops, and performances in the community, providing arts education in schools, and promoting cultural participation. Connecting with other sectors is part of this, such as collaborating with libraries, schools, and social services and healthcare. Since May 2022, Trias has been based in the Huis van de stad Rijswijk, from which all activities are organized. We teach at the Huis van de stad Rijswijk, in schools, at cultural institutions, and in community centers. We do this in Rijswijk and in Leidschendam-Voorburg. At the heart of Trias is an enthusiastic and hardworking team of 11 full-time equivalents.
You bring
- A completed relevant financial degree at the community college or university level;
- Professional skills and financial expertise, with 3–5 years of work experience. You enjoy creating cohesion, motivating others, and building connections;
- Demonstrable knowledge of and extensive experience in financial management, planning, and control cycles; you will be responsible for financial administration, preparing budgets and financial statements, and coordinating the budgeting and reporting process;
- Experience in business operations. You are able to translate high-level policy into tactical and operational guidance and management;
- An affinity for nonprofit organizations, such as those in the cultural sector;
- A strong enthusiasm for further developing the department, proactively involving your colleagues in this process, and contributing to Trias’s entrepreneurial spirit;
- Relevant skills and qualities, including: strong strategic and analytical thinking, integrity and a systematic approach, well-developed consulting skills, a proactive attitude, and a clear communication style.
What we offer
An attractive and inspiring work environment at the Huis van de Stad in Rijswijk. A position with opportunities for development and growth. A one-year appointment with the prospect of a permanent contract. Compensation according to the Collective Labor Agreement for Arts Education, scale 12 (€3,637 - €5,254), with the possibility of advancing to scale 13, depending on education and experience. A laptop, phone, and travel allowance in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Arts Education.
