Willem Twee Music and Visual Arts is a center for music and visual arts, dedicated to talent and experimentation. We have two locations in ’s-Hertogenbosch: the former Willem II Factory on Boschdijkstraat and the Toonzaal, located in the former synagogue on Prins Bernhardstraat. The factory houses the pop venue’s large and small halls, exhibition spaces, meeting rooms for rent, and the Willem Twee Café. On Prins Bernhardstraat is our concert hall for classical, jazz, and semi-acoustic music. The same building also houses our analog recording studios, equipped with unique gear from the 1960s through the 1980s. We organize around 200 concerts and exhibitions each year.
We work with an enthusiastic team of over 25 (part-time) employees, several interns, and about 100 volunteers.
The Willem Twee Foundation is led by an executive director, under the supervision of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board meets an average of four times a year, plus one strategic session. The Supervisory Board consists of five members. The Supervisory Board approves the policy plans, annual reports, and financial statements, serves as the employer of the executive director, and also acts as a sounding board for the executive director.
We are looking for someone to serve as a member of the Supervisory Board:
Members of the Supervisory Board are appointed for a term of four years, with the possibility of a one-time reappointment for a second four-year term.
The position of member of the Supervisory Board is unpaid. Travel and other expenses will, of course, be reimbursed.
Please email your resume and cover letter by November 1, 2023, to Jaap Houdijk at vacatures@willem-twee.nl, with the subject line “Supervisory Board Member Position.” Interviews will be held on November 14 at Willem Twee Music and Visual Arts, Boschdijkstraat 100, ’s-Hertogenbosch. For more information about our organization, please visit our website at www.willem-twee.nl.
Willem Twee adheres to the Diversity and Inclusion Code and strives for a diverse workforce, volunteer base, and Board of Supervisors. We therefore warmly invite anyone who believes they are a good fit for this position to apply.
