More about this organization
A smiling young man is carrying a hoe over his shoulder in a rural area with hills in the background.

The Supervisory Board of Wilde Ganzen is looking for new members. This is because one term is coming to an end and we want to expand our board. To enrich our team, we particularly encourage people with a migrant background and young professionals to apply.

What do we expect from you as a member?

As a member of our Supervisory Board, you will play a key role as a supervisor, advisor, and employer to the executive team. Together with our six-member Board, you will oversee Wilde Ganzen’s mission, strategy, and financial health. From an independent position, with vision and creativity, you will contribute to the achievement of our goals in a critical yet positive manner, drawing on your expertise and network.

Our Supervisory Board meets five to six times a year in Amersfoort, and the meetings are conducted in Dutch. As a member, you are appointed for a four-year term and receive a volunteer stipend. You will be a valuable addition to the Board if you have current work experience in business management, organizational development, or development cooperation. We would appreciate it if you have experience in a leadership role, but this is not required. We are also happy to help you develop in this area.

Procedure

Would you like to get to know us informally over a (virtual) cup of coffee or by visiting our office, or do you have a question? Please contact Hester Schimmel (Executive Assistant) by April 9, 2024, at 033-2045536 or hester@wildeganzen.nl (weekdays: Mon, Tue, Thu).

Would you like to apply right away? You can do so through April 17, 2024, via this link: Job Opening: Member of the Supervisory Board | Wilde Ganzen The first interviews are scheduled for May 8 and May 13.

About Wilde Ganzen

For more than 65 years, Wilde Ganzen has been working to combat poverty around the world. We envision a world where people can improve their own lives and futures through their own efforts. With an annual budget of €25 million , we support small, locally-driven projects that make a big difference. We also provide a boost to organizations dedicated to serving their communities and encourage people in the Netherlands to become global citizens.

Under the leadership of a single director, 58 employees based in Amersfoort work together with numerous social organizations in the Netherlands, Europe, and around the world. They are all people from different cultures and with diverse religious beliefs. So it stands to reason that we also respect what you believe in, your background, and the people you love. Above all, we’re curious to learn who you are and how you’d like to contribute to our organization.
