Pantar is the best company in Amsterdam. Pantar employees work in landscaping, logistics, skilled trades, facility management, and industry. Pantar employees manufacture and maintain bicycles, grow ficus plants, package razor blades, and maintain Amsterdam’s parks, the runway lighting at Schiphol Airport, and so much more.
Pantar employs 3,000 people of 80 different nationalities who, without Pantar, would likely not be able to succeed independently in the job market. Thirty to forty percent of Pantar’s employees are seconded to other organizations. As a social enterprise, Pantar strives to expand and secure the employment prospects of its employees. The labor productivity that employees lack is supplemented under the Social Employment Act and the Participation Act.
Member of the Supervisory Board
Pantar is looking for a new board member who, guided by a clear vision of social entrepreneurship, wants to help shape the future of Pantar. A board member who is a proud ambassador for Pantar.
Pantar's Mission
Helping to create an inclusive labor market where everyone participates to the best of their ability, talents are harnessed, and limitations are accepted. Pantar does this by creating value in work in various ways:
- Social value (safety net, stepping stone, place to work and learn);
- Self-esteem (pride, independence, health);
- Economic value (revenue, wage value).
The challenge
Pantar is currently in the midst of implementing its new strategy. With this strategy, Pantar aims to maximize its social impact by creating and capitalizing on more opportunities for people who are distanced from the labor market—whether due to a disability or other factors. For them, but also for employers, social entrepreneurs, municipalities, and anyone else who shares Pantar’s commitment to an inclusive labor market, Pantar wants to be and remain a dedicated partner. So there is work to be done.
