We are looking for a Head of Marketing, Communications & Online who can bring strategy and creativity together, connect people, and ensure that marketing, communications, online, promotions, and research reinforce one another. You will lead a team of approximately 35 passionate professionals, set the direction, and ensure that everything we communicate tells a cohesive story.
At AVROTROS, we produce programs that inform, inspire, and connect the people of the Netherlands. We make culture accessible in the broadest sense of the word: from classical to Dutch-language music, from musicals to theater, from art to kitsch. For many years, we have been enriching the Netherlands with a wide range of cultural programs, thereby fostering a shared experience among many viewers and listeners. In addition, through programs such as Radar, EenVandaag, and Opsporing Verzocht, we contribute to a well-informed, safe, and just society.
The department consists of three team leaders, two researchers, and approximately 30 other enthusiastic professionals. Together, you’ll work on everything that raises AVROTROS’s profile: from program promotion and member marketing to online content, internal communications, branding, and research. No two days are the same. You’ll switch effortlessly between setting the strategic course in the management team and tackling practical challenges on the front lines. As Head of Marketing, Communications & Online, you are responsible for the department’s strategic direction and, as a member of the Management Team, you contribute to AVROTROS’s strategic direction. You advise the executive board on positioning, reputation, and communications, and ensure that the organization remains visible, recognizable, and relevant.
You’re a strong partner in discussions with senior management and are just as comfortable popping into the department to brainstorm with colleagues. You enjoy collaborating, aren’t afraid to make decisions, and know how to get others on board. You understand that strong brands are built primarily by passionate people working together toward a common goal.
