More about this organization
Visitors walk through the courtyard of the Maritime Museum, which features historic buildings and a glass roof.

The Maritime Museum showcases how water connects the world. The museum is known as a high-profile, leading institution with one of the most exceptional maritime collections in the world. Every day, we welcome many visitors, ranging from museum enthusiasts to day-trippers and school groups. In addition, the beautiful building serves as a spectacular venue for conferences, weddings, and corporate events.

To be a high-profile and leading museum, a strong organizational structure is essential. The museum employs approximately 90 staff members, and we also work with an equally large pool of flexible colleagues. The Finance & Control department plays a key role in managing the museum’s financial results and financial position. The unique position that the Maritime Museum holds as an exclusive event venue plays an important role in this; separate budgets, management reports, and financial statements are prepared for this segment. In addition, the department handles the financial administration for a number of affiliated organizations.

The team consists of six colleagues who are jointly responsible for processing and reporting financial data.
