You would like to make a difference. And you’re well equipped to do so, as you have your very own, unique and societally relevant perspective on culture and art (history). A perspective that speaks on behalf of and speaks to a segment of society that is underrepresented in the world of heritage and museums, both in what is exhibited and who it is exhibited for. You are aware of your target audience, current affairs and recent developments as well as the importance of diversity, and with this in mind you are intrinsically motived to contribute to the world of art and culture. Whether you are a designer, playwright, journalist, scientist or scholar, or expert in whatever field or profession, you are a creative, have ideas, and the network and practical skills to contribute to making an exhibition both autonomously and in collaboration.
Did we just describe you? Then this project is right up your alley: from February until November 2024 H’ART Museum is looking for two story line developers for the upcoming Kandinsky exhibition. The two selected story lines are ‘Kandinsky and music’ and ‘Kandinsky the traveler’, but you may surprise us with an even better idea.
You are stepping into our organization at a very special moment in time. As H’ART Museum is getting ready for its first exhibition in cooperation with one of its international museum partners, the Centre Pompidou in Paris: Kandinsky (open from mid June to 3 November 2024). Marking a major milestone for H’ART Museum, the first exhibition of H’ART Museum aims to live up to our mission and vision for the museum. H’ART Museum strives to touch the hearts of new target audiences and seeks to connect with today’s society through a multiperspective discussion and display of historical and contemporary art. To that end, H’ART Museum works with constantly changing teams of curators, specialized guest curators and, as of now, story line developers. As our story line developer for the Kandinsky exhibition you are in charge of this:
H’ART Museum is a growing creative organization. The museum organizes three exhibitions per year on average, in cooperation with international museums. You will be working at H’ART Museum– prior to 1 September 2023 known as Hermitage Amsterdam. The mission of this museum is to exhibit art from all times, art that through their stories opens our eyes, touches our hearts, and shows us the world from yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
