The organisation consists of four departments: Conservation, Engagement, Organization & Talent Development, and Finance & Operations. In this light WWF-NL’s Science & Impact team within the Conservation department is looking for an Impact Measurement Senior Advisor (32-36 hours).

The Science and Impact (S&I) team is responsible for the following:

1. Strategy is informed by the latest science & evidence
2. Impact is measured and reported
3. Knowledge that is generated is synthesised and disseminated
4. Reflecting, learning and improving our strategies
5. Robust design and quality assurance of programmes

The Impact Measurement Senior Advisor will report to the Head of Science and Impact Unit. They will develop a methodology to measure our impact in all 14 landscapes, and develop Impact Narratives to communicate our impact to a wide audience.

Roles and responsibilities

• Develop and maintain theories of change for each landscape;
• Develop a methodology to measure WWF-NL’s impact;
• Support the impact reporting process;
• Manage WWF-NLs progress and impact dashboard;
• Manage consultancy contracts that are needed for the above;
• Liase with other WWF Teams and Offices on broader initiatives and projects to collaborate and share knowledge.

Who are you?

The Requirements for the Impact Measurement Senior Advisor are:

• A minimum of six years of experience working in the development, conservation, or related sectors focused on developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning approaches and conducting evidence-based analyses to understand and report on programmatic and organizational impact on nature, climate, and/or people outcomes;
• Expertise in developing Theories of Change, log frames, results chains, or other impact measurement methodology;
• Experience in Contribution Analyses and other methods to analyse causality in evaluations;
• You are a team player and comfortable working with international colleagues;
• You are organized and a good oral and written communicator;
• Educational background in a field such as international development, geography, political science, environmental economics, biological or ecological sciences, physical sciences, etc.;
• Proficiency in English.

Desired skills include:

• Experience in Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning;
• Knowledge of program and project cycle frameworks in conservation and development;
• PhD in related field;
• Proficiency in Dutch.

• An employment contract of 32-36 hours. Initially, a fixed-term employment contract of one year with a one-month probation period will be offered;
• Salaries that are in line with the standard in the Dutch not-for-profit sector; The minimum gross monthly salary for this role is 4.508 EUR and the maximum monthly salary is 5.821 EUR (based on a 40-hour contract) (we allocate salaries based on relevant experience so please note that, depending on the salary we are able to offer, we may not be able to sponsor a knowledge migrant permit for applicants above the age of 30 who are not eligible for the reduced salary criterion set by the IND);
• Staff receive a personal budget that is made up of 8% holiday allowance and 2,08% flexible budget, and receive 6 weeks of holiday per year (based on a 40-hour contract);
• We stimulate flexible working arrangements, the use of public transport and bike for work related travel. Employees receive an NS Business Card for 2nd class travel to and from work;
• We also have a hybrid working model, so staff can alternate working from home and from the office.
