

The Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a full-time Associate in its Amsterdam office, which serves as an important base for HRW’s development, fundraising, and outreach activities in The Netherlands. The Associate will provide administrative support to the Development and Outreach team in The Netherlands, collaborating on internal and external communications, administration, and event coordination. The Associate will be actively involved in team meetings and events related to human rights.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position for one year and will be based in Amsterdam. The Associate will report to the Netherlands Director. This role requires availability to work occasional evenings and weekend events. We anticipate that the successful candidate will begin this position by February 2024.
The successful candidate may have the option to work remotely, but will be expected to work from the office about 2-3 days per week. We aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible in both the recruitment for and onboarding of this position.
A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience in law, human rights, communication, international relations, social science, or a related field, is required.
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required. We are interested in hearing from candidates who may have previous work, internship, or volunteer experience that would be relevant for the role.
