As a publishing assistant, you ensure that the publishing process runs smoothly. You provide administrative support to publishers on their publishing projects: you draft author contracts, manage these contracts, keep track of production schedules, and coordinate the review of royalty statements. You ensure effective inventory management and, where necessary, initiate reprints. You maintain contact with authors and external editorial teams. You intuitively sense what support publishers need and respond accordingly. If you see opportunities for improvement, you discuss them with colleagues. After consultation, you implement the improvements.
Your team will be the Boom Juridisch publishing team in The Hague. You’ll work closely with publishers, editors, marketers, internal sales staff, and account managers. You’ll also collaborate frequently with colleagues from the (digital) production and (financial) administration departments in Meppel.
