Intern at Fair Future Generators
The Fair Future Generators climate traineeship offers you a unique opportunity to gain work experience at a green organization while participating in training sessions and workshops organized by Milieudefensie. For example, you can help maintain a food forest, run a campaign, or organize a sustainable event—all tailored to your interests.
What is Fair Future Generators?
Fair Future Generators is the climate traineeship offered by Milieudefensie, part of Maatschappelijke Diensttijd Nederland (MDT). For four months, you’ll work alongside other young people, take part in training sessions, and learn all about climate justice. You’ll learn to use your own talents and develop new skills.
What will you be doing?
After a brief introductory interview, we’ll match you with a climate project in your area (8–16 hours per week). We partner with over 30 different NGOs and other social organizations dedicated to climate action.
For example:
- campaigning against polluting companies;
- marketing and communication for an urban garden;
- organizing sustainable events;
- involve local residents in energy projects.

If you’re between 18 and 29 years old and live in the Netherlands, we’re looking for you!
