More about this organization
A museum staff member in a green uniform is showing an object to a family with children and grandparents in a historic setting.

Are you passionate about history and do you enjoy sharing it with others? Then this part-time job is perfect for you! As a historical reenactor, you’ll tell our visitors about life in the past and guide them through activities such as archery, bread-baking, or crafts from different time periods. Sometimes you’ll play a Stone Age person, other times a medieval figure—always dressed in historical costume, of course.

You’ll work an average of 7.5 to 15 hours per week, with flexible hours on weekends and extra opportunities during school breaks; in short: an ideal job that’s easy to balance with school or other commitments!

The Prehistoric Village is a lively open-air museum in Eindhoven, where visitors of all ages can experience the past. At our museum, visitors actively discover what daily life was like in the past. Through living history, they take a journey through time from early prehistory to the late Middle Ages. The museum welcomes more than 70,000 visitors annually, including many families and school groups. We are currently collaborating withthe Eindhoven Museumon the development ofMuseumpark Vonk: an expansion of the current Prehistoric Village featuring fascinating structures and a modern museum building with an introductory show, exhibition, and workshop. The new museum is expected to open in the spring of 2026 and will be open year-round.

Our enthusiastic team consists of 13 full-time employees, approximately 40 seasonal staff members, and more than 200 dedicated volunteers. Together, we create a unique historical experience for every visitor.
