Strategic Communications Advisor

Strategic Communications Advisor (32–36 hours per week, for the period July–February)  

In this role, you will work in various project teams on topics such as promoting well-being, sustainable employability, and social leadership within municipalities. You will provide advice and translate project ideas into compelling communication concepts, media, and campaigns. Using your knowledge and insight, you will help increase the impact and visibility of these initiatives. In doing so, you will ensure that text, visuals, and reach are optimally tailored to the various target audiences. Together with a project manager and project support staff, you will form the project team. You will also work closely with communications colleagues in the areas of data, events, and online. 

What you will be doing  

• You will enhance (ESF) program and project plans with a strategic and goal-oriented approach to communication.  

• You translate these into concrete communication plans and ensure they are implemented effectively.  

• You will select and manage external partners such as designers, web developers, and campaign agencies.  

• You identify target audiences and ensure that media and campaigns are optimally aligned with them.  

• You monitor, evaluate, and report on results and impact.  

• You write engaging, targeted content for offline and online media.  

• You maintain an active network and identify and capitalize on internal and external opportunities to increase the reach and visibility of our activities.  

Does this profile sound like you?  

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in (marketing) communications and at least 8 years of experience as a communications professional. 

• You have experience with behavioral campaigns and stakeholder management, are active on social media and other platforms, and write clearly and persuasively.  

• You have knowledge of and an affinity for local governments and/or the public sector.  

• You are self-motivated, have strong strategic skills, and are an effective, hands-on implementer.  

• You can handle stress well and are a team player.

_ In addition to statutory leave, it is possible to accumulate ADV.  

_ Other benefits include a year-end bonus, travel allowance based on second-class public transportation fares, a laptop and a phone, and an annual IBO budget of 500 euros, prorated.  

• This appointment is to cover maternity leave for the period from July 1, 2022, through February 1, 2023.
