
Many consider the Royal Carré Theatre to be the most beautiful theatre in the Netherlands. The theatre is known for its diverse programming of national and international theatre productions of the highest caliber. With every conceivable theatre genre, from circus to cabaret and from pop concerts to opera, Carré offers a unique theatrical experience for everyone. For over 136 years, 400,000 visitors have made their way to the famous theater on the Amstel every year to experience the magic of Carré. Everyone is welcome at Carré, no matter who you are or where you come from. This applies not only to our visitors but also to our (future) employees.
As a Service & Support Representative, you’ll be part of the Service & Support department. The department consists of a team of nine colleagues. In this role, you’ll interact with visitors, making you the face of Carré. You will answer all questions from our visitors: at the box office, at the reception desk, by phone, by email, or via social media. Your workstation may be located at the “front” of the theater—for example, during box office hours—or at the “back” of the theater near our artists’ entrance. At both workstations, personally welcoming artists and visitors is therefore part of your responsibilities. For variety, you’ll also have office shifts so you can answer questions via email and phone. Finally, you may be assigned to work during performances. In short, no two weeks are the same for you.
You’ll work from your laptop. Using various software programs, you’ll handle inquiries via email and social media. You’ll also process requests through our ticketing system and CRM software. The call center is open in the afternoon, during which time you’ll answer the phone to assist our visitors. Together with your colleagues, you’ll ensure that we exceed all of our visitors’ high expectations. In this way, we ensure that every visitor enjoys a wonderful theater experience.
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, but it’s certainly not a requirement. We’ll take the time to teach you everything you need to know.
