EenVandaag is AVROTROS’s current affairs program. We help make sense of the news—on TV, radio, and online. We analyze news developments in a clear, accessible way that resonates with people. EenVandaag features not only experts but also people directly involved in the news. Topics from the heart of society. The editorial team is a motivated group of people dedicated to journalism. The atmosphere is informal.

Here's what you'll be doing:

You’ll be part of EenVandaag’s new engagement team. We’ll determine the exact division of roles once the team is complete. We’ll divide the tasks among engagement editors, video editors, and a social media editor. As an engagement editor, your main focus will be engaging with the audience and turning their feedback into journalistic stories. Video editors do the same, but with journalistic online videos—think of creating explanatory videos. And the social media editor primarily engages with the audience through EenVandaag’s social media channels. 

What matters most to us is that you’re a good listener and have strong communication skills—both with our audience and with your colleagues. You’ll be working closely with reporters and editors who primarily work in radio, television, and online media. Since this is a new team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas on how we can best achieve our goals. You’ll have the chance to share your skills and experiences and grow in an inclusive and respectful environment.

We offer you:

• A 36-hour-per-week position, with the option to work partly from home;
• Initially a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal. 
• A starting salary between €2,500 and €3,500 per month, depending on the number of hours, the specific role you are assigned, your age, and your experience;
• Training and career advancement opportunities, such as the chance to take courses;
• The option to exchange public holidays;
• 25 vacation days to be scheduled in consultation.
