Net in Nederland is the NPO’s online platform for and by newcomers. Net in Nederland helps newcomers find their way in Dutch society. The stories cover history, culture, and society. Net in Nederland publishes the stories in Dutch and Arabic.
Net In Nederland Netwerk is seeking anEditor II (m/f/x)(32 hours per week) for a temporary position from August 1 through December 31, 2024
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Working with colleagues here to come up with original and timely online stories for Net in the Netherlands;
- Keeping a close eye on the news and ensuring it is accurately represented on our platform;
- Coordinating the scheduling, delivery, and/or placement of contentproduced for Net in the Netherlands;
- Contribute to various editorial tasks, such as researching topics, gathering background information, contacting key figures in current events, conducting preliminary interviews, and writing articles for online publication;
- Organizing the masterclasses, a program for talented refugees; Proactively and thoughtfully communicating with our participants;
- Serve as the point of contact internally and externally on behalf of Net in the Netherlands.
This is you:
- Are you interested in and have an affinity for newcomers, or do you have a refugee background yourself?
- Proficient in Dutch and English; proficiency in athird foreign language is preferred;
- An energetic team player who works well with others but also knows how to take the initiative and work independently;
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop;
- Decisive, results-oriented, and well-organized: you work meticulously and can provide structure to the team;
- A journalist with strong content skills and a talent for timely online stories that matter.
Here's what we offer:
A versatile role within a dedicated and enthusiastic team, where the atmosphere is open, collegial, and professional. Depending on your knowledge and experience, this position is compensated within salary grade G of the collective bargaining agreement for broadcasting employees. The other terms of employment also comply with the collective bargaining agreement for broadcasting employees.
