About Waag
Waag researches, designs, creates, and advocates for a society that is in control of technological and social developments. With a team of more than 60 employees, we empower as many people as possible to contribute to an open, fair, and inclusive future. Over the past 25 years, Waag has contributed to the development and positioning of digital culture, thereby establishing an international reputation.
About Code
The Code group at Waag Futurelab conducts design research to shape the technotope in which we live. A code has both a technical and a social side. A code is the basis for a digital technical design, but a code also stands for rules or principles that determine how people should behave. Both meanings of “code” play a role in Code’s work: by designing technology, we simultaneously shape people’s choices and behavior and the way they relate to one another and the natural world around them. Technology design offers a starting point for exploring with people in society how we can make society fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable.
