More about this organization
CODA's modern cultural center, featuring a glass facade, wooden slats, and a distinctive rounded shape, set against a blue sky.

As a program developer, you know better than anyone how to engage CODA’s diverse audiences. You create challenging, thought-provoking programming, and you value experimentation and adventure just as much as offering depth and helping participants gain skills and knowledge. You have an eye for programming that transcends disciplines, you thrive on working in a team, and you’re more than happy to take on the task of organizing and implementing programs.

You & CODA

As part of CODA’s mission, you will work on developing, implementing, and advising on various programs. You will be responsible for the entire process—from concept to implementation—in collaboration with volunteers, community partners, and colleagues. You will do this for CODA Library, Museum, and Archives, as well as through collaborative projects with the CODA ExperienceLab team.

You will be responsible for creating engaging activities and events at CODA, with partners, in public spaces, and online. The program appeals to a broad audience across different age groups and with diverse interests. Your responsibilities will include developing CODA-wide educational activities, heritage and cultural programming, workshops for all ages, and creative afternoons for children. You will also create programs for our branches in Dok Zuid and De Maten. In collaboration with the PR team, you will develop online activities, ranging from podcasts to short documentaries and design challenges. Activities may be a regular part of CODA’s program offerings, or they may be one-off events or tie in with a partner project or national campaign. You will also be responsible for the creative development of seasonal programming, including activities for various holiday periods. You will connect visitors, partners, and the various teams at CODA, and you have a relevant network that can contribute to the development of the program.

As a program producer, you are decisive and have strong organizational skills. You are flexible and adapt easily to different meeting structures, teams, and colleagues.

  • You are responsible for activities with partners outside of CODA;

What are you bringing?

  • Relevant education or experience in the field of project management;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and an affinity for culture and social developments;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including for online media);
  • You are a strong, decisive organizer who, as a leader, also knows how to bring people together and build connections;
  • You have knowledge of a wide range of target audiences;
  • You have experience with fundraising, preparing documentation for annual plans, and the associated reporting;
  • You are able to quickly turn trends and opportunities into a program or activity;
  • You have relevant internal and external contacts who contribute to the development of the program.

For you at CODA

  • A varied role that requires a lot of initiative and offers room for creativity within an inspiring organization with an open and informal atmosphere;
  • A competitive salary based on the Public Libraries Collective Bargaining Agreement. You will be placed in pay grade 8 (minimum €3,042 and maximum €3,863 gross per month for a 36-hour workweek). The salary depends on your knowledge, experience, and skills;
  • A package of attractive benefits and services, including a membership to the CODA Library, free admission to the CODA Museum, and reimbursement for your commuting expenses.
