More about this organization

Podium is the cultural student platform of Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (HU). Podium organizes professional events where students can discover their role in the world of tomorrow. Under the guidance of coordinators, an enthusiastic group of HU students brings to the stage everything they believe deserves a spotlight. From movie nights to pub quizzes, from talk shows to audio tours, from theater to food programs: a diverse lineup full of current topics that engage students. Through the program pillars of Connection, Depth, Innovation, and Inspiration, the events offer a varied mix of depth and relaxation. Each year, over 50 live events and about 20 online productions are organized.

As Program Coordinator for Podium International:

  • You will be part of the self-managing Podium team, which, in addition to you, consists of two other Program Coordinators, an M&C Coordinator, an M&C Staff Member, and a Production Assistant. In addition, 13 student assistants work for Podium in the roles of Program Producer or Program Promoter.
  • You’ll play a key role in strengthening Podium and raising awareness of English-language programs among international students. Together with our promotions team, you’ll put Podium’s English-language events on the map at HU and establish partnerships to further this effort.
  • Together with the other coordinators, you will be responsible for the Podium’s strategy, developing an annual plan, and achieving results.
  • Are you looking for a varied role that combines creativity and social engagement (program development), production and organization (scheduling, budgeting, implementation), and collaboration (student support, partnerships)?
