Production Manager
Endlessly inspired by the raw energy and styles of the street, ISH Dance Collective has been bringing hip-hop dance and urban sports to the theater at the highest level for over two decades, and we blend these street disciplines with traditional art forms such as ballet, opera, theater, and classical music. ISH Dance Collective targets a broad, young, and diverse audience; exploring new paths and investing in younger generations is deeply ingrained in our DNA.
ISH is based in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, where it has its own studio. The company is the resident company at De Meervaart and will have its own space in the new building in a few years.

This position focuses primarily on the production of performances, but is also involved in overseeing the talent development program and supporting educational and community activities.
The production manager has organizational and financial responsibility for the execution of the work. The role primarily involves translating the artistic team’s wishes and requirements into production activities and resources, preparing and monitoring budgets, and independently planning, coordinating, and executing production tasks.
The production manager reports to the head of production but also works closely with the artistic director, the performers and creative staff, and other members of the administrative team. The role requires a proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach to the tasks at hand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your responsibilities will include:
- Production of performances & tours
- Preparing and monitoring budgets
- Communication between performers, technicians, and the artistic team
- Support for education and talent development
You are/have:
- An interest in the performing arts, preferably hip-hop dance and/or urban sports.
- At least 5 years of work experience in production roles within the performing arts (theater, dance, music)
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- No 9-to-5 mentality: you’re flexible with your working hours and can adjust them to suit the tasks at hand.
- Performs well in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and forward-thinking.
- Flexible and able to handle stress.
- Clear, concise, and comprehensive in both verbal and written communication.
- A driver's license is required.
