Would you like to be responsible for keeping the schedules and rotations for psychiatrists and physicians up to date? Do you have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, take prompt action when issues arise, and have the confidence to escalate matters when you can’t resolve them yourself? Do you also bring a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the table? Then we’re looking for you!
In the role of planner, you are responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring the schedules for doctors and psychiatrists for both on-call and off-call shifts. This means you organize the shift schedules for times outside of regular office hours. You do this across the entire Arkin organization for all specialties. In addition, you play a key role in the onboarding and offboarding process for doctors and psychiatrists. This means handling the administrative tasks and adding them to the appropriate mailing lists. You ensure they receive the correct onboarding information and answer any questions they may have. Finally, you also ensure that internal cost allocations are handled correctly. Naturally, you take employees’ preferences into account as much as possible, keep an eye on legal requirements, and stay on top of collective bargaining agreement provisions.
You identify scheduling issues, make adjustments, and respond flexibly and promptly to unexpected circumstances that affect the schedule. You serve as the primary point of contact for doctors and psychiatrists regarding questions about the schedules. When problems arise, you resolve them independently or know how to escalate them in a timely manner while suggesting possible solutions. You maintain information in the various systems and prepare overviews and (management) reports upon request. You see it as a challenge to publish the schedule every two months.
You are customer-focused. You also maintain close contact with colleagues in scheduling and managers, with whom you discuss existing and future schedules. In doing so, you take the preferences of employees and managers into account as much as possible. You discuss these preferences and are able to suggest alternatives.
As the point of contact for schedules and planning, you will make a demonstrable contribution to the delivery of healthcare services. You will also make a demonstrable contribution to improving planning processes and propose ways to optimize staff deployment.
Since you work closely with the treatment providers, the schedule changes every month. You are flexible and creative, and you actively contribute ideas to find the best solution for everyone. You can convey even the most difficult messages to employees in a constructive manner, and you can also communicate your advice to managers. In addition, you are steadfast, meticulous, analytical, and results-oriented to prevent errors from creeping into the schedule.
