The “2Leeuweriken” after-school care group will begin on May 1. Together with the school, we will be taking steps in the coming period toward becoming a “community school”—a place where children and their parents enjoy coming. It will be a place where they can not only receive education and childcare, but also borrow books, attend coffee mornings, take parenting classes, get extra support, and more.
You understand children’s perspectives and enjoy encouraging them to further discover and develop their talents. Together with your colleagues, you’ll help launch the new group. You’ll foster a positive group atmosphere and serve as the point of contact for parents. You’ll be part of the broader Leeuwerikhoeve team and participate in various (professional development) meetings, because we believe it’s important to continue growing together. This includes taking the continuing education courses for the “De Vreedzame School” program, regularly attending relevant meetings, and coordinating closely with other team members.
Your hours will depend on what you’d like to do in addition to working with children. The role involves a combination of providing educational and/or instructional support to children in the group and putting your own talents to use. For example, you might serve as the coordinator of the after-school activities program or act as the primary point of contact for parents, fostering a positive working relationship.
