Organizational Skills for the Education Department
De toneelmakerij is looking for an organizational talent for its education department.
32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
De Toneelmakerij is Amsterdam’s theater company for children and young people. We tell stories that matter, we love language, and we work with various art forms. We perform in theaters throughout the country and far beyond, or we visit our audiences in their own classrooms, where the experience is intense and the connection is at its strongest. We create on-site performances, work in all neighborhoods of Amsterdam, and perform at festivals. Our education department develops hands-on programs in which children and young people create and experiment with various art forms themselves.
In this role, you will be responsible for the organizational planning and practical support of our educational projects. You will distribute workshops and teaching materials, monitor budgets, keep the educational section of the website up to date, and manage the department’s social media calendar. You will be responsible for planning, as well as establishing and maintaining our contacts with the education sector. In addition to the planning and production staff, the education team consists of an education director and an education coordinator. We also work with a team of approximately 15 freelance theater teachers.
Profile
- An organizer with a good overview who can prioritize effectively and keep a cool head under stressful conditions.
- You can work both as part of a team and independently.
- You are decisive, organized, and proactive.
- You have a professional demeanor and strong social skills. You’re a natural connector who gets along well with all kinds of people.
- Experience with digital planning and organizational tools (Excel, System One, Planned Culture).
- You’re a go-getter who enjoys planning, keeping track of the big picture, organizing workshops and meetings, and creating clear schedules.
- You have knowledge of and an affinity for our young, diverse audience and the field of education.
