
Teylers Museum is the oldest museum in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1784 and is still housed in its original building. At the museum, you can marvel at art and science. It houses a unique collection of fossils, minerals, books, coins, medals, scientific instruments, paintings, and drawings of international significance. We organize diverse and successful (international) exhibitions, ranging from Leonardo da Vinci to Dinomakers, from The Great Illusion – 200 Years of Virtual Realities to Hockney’s Eye.
As a freelance museum docent, you will be responsible for organizing and leading educational programs. You may also be asked to lead activities for other audiences, such as adults and families. Working alongside the Public Affairs department and a team of enthusiastic freelance docents, you will ensure that visitors have an enjoyable and memorable experience at the museum.
